Associate Corporate Attorney

Silicon Valley Law Group, a San Jose–based general business firm with 9 attorneys, seeks an experienced (3 to 10 yrs.) corporate attorney to assume significant responsibility in a varied and interesting corporate practice. Successful candidates will be familiar with corporate formation, stock transactions, mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, SAFEs, private placements and institutional financing. Exposure to technology, intellectual property, data protection, privacy and employment issues are a plus. Prior "big firm" experience may be desirable but is not necessary. CA bar membership is required.

We believe in having a rich full life outside the office and our billing targets are therefore modest. Our compensation includes a starting salary commensurate with experience, quarterly bonuses (based on a percentage of collections above a monthly threshold plus a percentage of all originations), the usual group insurance benefits and a 401(k) with profit–sharing.
