This role will work closely with the Director of Trademark to ensure the highest level of trademark protection for our clients' brand names. If you're passionate about trademark law and brand development, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the liaison between clients’ counsel and Lexicon trademark team
- Conduct comprehensive trademark searches and provide detailed analyses. Provide clear reports for creative teams to review.
- Advise & collaborate with internal creative teams on trademark availability and risks
- Stay current on trademark laws and practices globally
- Mentor and supervise trademark paralegals
- Build and nurture relationships with client counsels
Qualifications:
- Experience with trademark management software (preferably Corsearch)
- Strong understanding of USPTO procedures and international trademark regulations
- 5+ years of experience in trademark law, preferably with a focus on brand development
- Bonus but not required: J.D. from an accredited law school
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, creative environment
- Active membership in good standing with a state bar association
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the branding or advertising industry
- Knowledge of domain name disputes and social media username issues
Additional Requirements:
- This is a full-time position and employees must work in our San Francisco Bay Area office 3+ days per week. Preference for in-office 5 days/week. Candidates must be eligible and authorized to work lawfully in the U.S.
