Are you a qualified solicitor with a passion for commercial law? We're looking for an experienced Commercial Counsel to provide expert legal advice and support across various business functions, including Sales, Marketing, and Communications.

Key Responsibilities of the Commercial Counsel include:

  • Offer legal expertise on commercial matters such as disputes, intellectual property, and technology, including drafting and negotiating contracts.
  • Collaborate with senior legal counsel on high–value transactions and manage external legal suppliers and costs when necessary.
  • Build strong relationships with internal business teams and external partners, including legal teams from customers and shareholders.
  • Draft, negotiate, and review a variety of agreements, including cloud services contracts, infrastructure sharing agreements, NDAs, and master service agreements.
  • Provide proactive legal advice to support key business objectives in customer acquisition and the delivery of passive infrastructure services.
  • Ensure contracts meet both legal obligations and business goals, mitigating risks while offering pragmatic solutions.
  • Maintain and evolve the template document suite to align with the latest legal standards.
  • Identify areas for process transformation, leveraging technology to improve efficiency.
  • Work closely with marketing, brand, and communications teams, providing legal support where needed.

The successful Commercial Counsel will have:

  • Qualified solicitor with 3–6 years' post–qualification experience in commercial transactions.
  • Strong commercial contract experience, particularly in technology, marketing, and intellectual property.
  • Experience within a busy in–house legal team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and project management skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast–paced environment.
  • Proven ability to innovate and continuously improve legal processes.
