From start–up technology companies to major international manufacturers, our client assists businesses in protecting and leveraging their intellectual property assets and harnessing the power of information.
They are currently going through an exciting time of growth and are looking to hire an experienced Managing Associate to join their team in Bristol.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a dynamic technology and commercial team to handle high–value, strategic procurements and contracts
- Provide expert advice on various technology projects, including framework agreements, software purchases, and digital transformation projects
- Supervise and mentor junior team members, fostering a supportive and driven environment
- Play an active role in business development, preparing pitches and building client relationships
- Work on–site with clients as needed, including virtual and in–person secondments
Skills:
- Proven experience advising on technology transactions and procurements for clients in the Financial Services sector
- Minimum of 5 years post–qualified experience within the Technology/Commercial team of a national or specialist law firm, or relevant in–house legal team
- Motivated self–starter with ambitions to lead and deliver complex, strategic client work
- Excellent negotiation, drafting, and contracting skills
- Client–focused approach with a knack for developing long–lasting relationships
- Drive and ambition to contribute as a key senior member of our client's team, while also helping to enhance the firm's local and national offerings
